Custom Schools: Custom is Cool (Part 2)

(Continuation)

New school

From the World War II servicemen, we head on to someone named Chip Foose. Most of you may know him, but for the uneducated, well, let us just say he is considered as a top gunner in today’s custom culture. A host of “Overhaulin’,” an automotive reality TV show, Foose is best known for his Hemisfear Hot Rod a.k.a. Foose Coupe, which, for the lack of term to use, is indeed revolutionary. Stylistically revolutionary, that is.

Not a grasshopper: The Foose Coupe

Foose’s work may be heading to a direction wherein new styles for cars can be discovered, but when we speak of “new school” customization, Computer-Aided Designs is always a staple. With it are the high-performance engines, most of which are already computerized, too.

Then come the lower suspensions and the hydraulics. Remember WWE icon Eddie Guerrero? Here, let me post a snapshot:

Meanwhile, the timeless flame paint has been replaced by graffiti patterns, which are now more popularly used in painting the car’s body. Also, the designs in personalizing the finish of a car—not only the finish, actually, but the interior and its other parts as well—have been much bolder and more experimental.

Now that you have the building blocks of improving car design, why not try some hands-on? Here:
